Promoting Registered Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship will play a key role in developing skills for our youth while establishing rewarding careers within Alaska. Counselors have the opportunity to promote Apprenticeship as an alternative and often as a best practice for career success! Moreover, direct entry into a rewarding career is possible to achieve while still in high school because Apprenticeship is the other four year degree option that delivers immediate benefits.

Discuss the following with interested students:

  • Career Exploration and Planning
  • Career Clusters
  • Developing World Class Skills via On-the-job Learning
  • Academic Guidance and the Integration of Apprenticeship
  • School to Work Transitions
  • Personal and Social Development

If a counselor requires additional information, promotional or marketing materials, would like to schedule a meeting, a site visit or to request our participation in a conference, career fair or other public event, please contact the state Office of Apprenticeship at apprenticeship@alaska.gov or call 269-4675.

The Alaska Job Center Network is an equal opportunity employer/program.
Auxiliary aids and services are available to individuals with disabilities upon request.
